“Put It On The Ballot” Rally at City Hall – Sunday 6/13 @ 2pm

We Demand City Council Act to “Put it on The Ballot”

A rally/protest is scheduled at West Linn City Hall to demand the West Linn City Council put the Oppenlander Field purchase on the November ballot so city residents can decide the future of Oppenlander.

Sunday 6/13 @ 2pm – West Linn City Hall – 22500 Salamo Rd (next to the standalone Starbucks)

We need hundreds of you to show up in force! City Council is meeting virtually in Executive Session Thursday 6/17 to (presumably) discuss the School Board’s Oppenlander offer. We can’t pack their chambers. Instead, this rally on their turf is designed to assure they know how we feel … not just online, but in person!

Wear your team shirts, bring signs, and an umbrella just in case … and join us for 30 minutes.

Invite your soccer friends to come in their shirts, too! If we lose Oppenlander we’ll all be competing for field time.

This is the critical once-in-a-lifetime decision to acquire and preserve Oppenlander Field for community recreation/athletic use.

“Put it on The Ballot”

Our ask is simple … “Put It On The Ballot”. Let us, the citizens, show we support keeping Oppenlander as a community park for recreational/athletic use.

We need signs that say “Put It on The Ballot” … call out the councilors by name: Jules, Bill, Rory, Mary, Todd … we support the bond … and bring those “Save Oppenlander” signs you used at our last rally.

It’s NOT a Done Deal Yet – We Must Keep the Pressure On!

Please continue sharing and asking your friends, and neighbors to sign up at  SaveOppenlander.org

  1. Please put Oppenlander on the ballot. Parks are for kids and families. Please keep Oppenlander as a West Linn community park for recreational and athletic use.

  2. SAVE Oppenlander Field !!!
Let the the community vote and place on November ballot. This is important to the community and should be decided by the community.
